Sourcing Specialist

Sourcing Specialist focuses on quality in all stages of new product development in accordance with steris’ npd process.

What the role involves

• Quality in all stages of new product development in accordance with STERIS’ NPD process.
• Maintain expertise in the supply base’s contemporary technology that can be utilized to upgrade existing products and designed into new products.
• Leading the identification of key supplier/ partners to strategically source. Work with cross-functional team to align key strategic suppliers and capabilities with new product develo.
• Supporting negotiations and issue contracts/agreements in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations within the guidelines of STERIS Policies and Procedures.
• Negotiate, structure and secure agreements with selected suppliers.
• Monitor Supplier performance and take actions for necessary improvements.

Skills and requirements

• Experience in all aspects of sourcing including contract negotiations, commodity-based materials management, project management, and commercial analysis.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications like Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and project management tools.
• Sourcing, or other business experience requiring strong negotiating skills.
• Excellent communication, problem solving, project management, organizational and negotiation skills.
